This is about some of my cars and bike(s). Not all of them - I must have owned around fourty cars - and three motorbikes - so far, mostly old and cheap.
Cars and motorbikes have fascinated me since I was a little kid. My first driving experience was when I was around seven years old. My father had driven a 1960 (or earlier) VW Beetle into a ditch. One of us had to push, the other had to drive - now since I couldn't push, I was driving, and it worked!
The first car I owned - when I was twelve - was a DKW Munga, which was given to me and my younger brothers by my father's father because it didn't work. Instead of jumping around on it and wrecking it completely, we managed to make it work again and had a fun toy for years! After this specimen finally died, we exchanged it for another one which is still in the family.
My first motorbike came to me in a similar way - my mother's father wanted to get rid of a Rixe 175 his employees had used in forestry work and tried to auction it off in the family. My wicked uncle bought it for 20 German Marks and gave it to his nephews - me and my bothers - and we have used it ever since.
I have not been very diligent in photographing all motor vehicles I have owned, and there is a number of mv's I have not owned but loved and cared for. Pictures can be found on the links on this page, depending on how far I get in uploading them.
